My interest in abstractions began in October of 2022, when I joined a Facebook group called Mixed Media Mania. I had been creating a lot of textural works that still had a representational element of “reality.” So I felt that I could easily go to the next level of pure abstraction using natural elements and textures. Viewers could SEE things but for the most part they were hidden under the field of colors and elements.
I was a little concerned about the concept of mixing media as all my work is digitally based. I posed this to the group and they did not have an issue with it. So here I am with a new genre. Bon appetit.
